Dialogue

“Hey BFF! I heard you’re going to Japan!” Caylee said with excitement in her voice.
“Yeah! You heard right. Uh, who told you?” I asked nervously.
“It’s only been all over Facebook, silly!” She replied.
“Oh… I forgot about that.” I said quietly.
“What’s wrong?” Caylee asked with concern.
“It’s nothing! Just excited, that’s all.” I said quickly.
“Oh! Me too! You’re the best best friend ever! I’m so happy you picked me to go with you!” She said with glee.
  “Well, about that…” I mumbled.
“What? You are taking me, right? Your MTBBFF?”  She blurted.
  “Well I wa-“
“Taylor! How could you!” Caylee interrupted, “I thought we were sisters!”
“Let me explain!” I yelled, “My mom said we’ve been spending so much time together and that I need to make some new friends.”
“Oh… Well, I better unpack I guess” She said with no emotion in her voice.
  “You packed already?” I mumbled.
“Yeah… I thought I was your best friend and the one you were taking so I packed as soon as I saw your status.” She whispered.
“Well, I really wanted to take you and I would in a heart beat, but it’s not my fault. “ I said so fast it almost sounded like one word.
“Well… who’s the lucky person? Zane?” She sounded like she was about to cry.
“No, no boys. Promise you won’t be mad?” I asked.
“I guess. I don’t know if I can keep that.” She replied.
“Well, I’m taking Sierra. My mom said it’d be good to rebuild our bond. I really am sorry Caylee! I promise you can come with next time!” I said.
“Oh, It’s okay! I’m alright with that!” She rambled on.
“Ugh, give me a hug!” I said as I hugged her.
“Please have fun for me!” She said happily.
“I love that you’re so understanding. That’s what makes us best friends.” I replied.

Expressive essay

The half drawn curtain moved as I was in the kitchen. I look up from what I was doing and paused for a moment. It was a beautiful day and there was a slight breeze. I shrugged it off and walked to the ouch carrying my sub that I've been craving. I turned the tv on and took a bite from the sub. Mmm, even better than I thought it was going to be. I set the sub back down and picked up the remote. As I was looking for something to watch, the smell of smoke hit me. I looked to my right, at my open window. What's going on? My one day off and something is already ruining it? I stood up and walked over to the window. My jaw dropped when I saw where the smoke was coming from. My best friend, Caylee's house. Panic rushed through out my body. I grabbed my phone and dashed outside. Here is where I had a decision to make. Call 911 or call Caylee her self. Any normal person would know the answer to that, call 911. On the other hand, I know my best friend. I hit speed dial 4 and listen to it ring. Come on answer. Her voice soon hit my ear. "OMG, dude I was just about to call you! I set my microwave on fire" Yup.. that's my best friend. "My mom is going to kill me!" I told her I'd be there in a sec. I opened her front door to see Blake and Hazel already there. Well now, way to invite me. Her house was full of smoke. Everyone was running around to open up windows. What exactly happened in here? As if she read my mind, Caylee explained, "I was cooking and it just blew up!" "Could it be the foil wrapping?" replied Blake in a smart tone. After help clean up, I invited everyone to eat at my house until Caylee got the call, "It's my mom!"
